A day out at Cromer

Three photos from last summer…..two taken at Cromer and the other one is a photo of my son Laurie, daughter Maisie and Barry after a steam train ride on the Poppy Line, I thought I’d post these after reading my blogpal Tal’s blog….these are happy photos, thanks Tal for reminding me of this wonderful day out we had!

Also, talking of steam trains, my Secret ColourSwap Pal has sent me a lovely card showing Newcastle Station, when it was all Steam Trains, a wonderful era, so sad it’s all but disappeared now……
Hope you’re all having a good weekend!

Lovely shots Marianne!! Cromer is just beautiful, I don’t know what it is about the place but it is one of only a few places I feel totally relaxed and at ease. I hope to be able to get there again some day soon :o)Good to see you enjoy it there too!! :o) I love watching the kids and adults lined up along the pier in summer crabbing! :o)

Glad the card arrived! One of my earliest memories is of Liverpool Lime Street Station, with the engines roaring and hissing. the acoustics meant that it was the loudest noise I’d ever heard. I was terrified. Love the Cromer pictures, especially the curtain. I saw the best net curtain I’ve ever seen in Cormer years ago. From a distance: very heavy lace. Close up: skulls and spiders.

I think that net curtain series is great. How many people would even THINK to take that photo, let alone make it a series and do such a good job? I’m really impressed.I’ve heard so much about Cromer – must go there one day 🙂
