Warm, Spring Sunshine in Cambridge

Barry, Maisie and I went into Cambridge today. I am on a hunt for the new Vogue Knitting International Magazine but I don’t think I am going to find it over here for a while…I thought it might be in a large W H Smith, but it wasn’t, so I got two other knitting magazines to keep me quiet..Barry and Maisie went off for a hot dog whilst I browsed the magazines. I had some delicious little vege spring rolls and a chicken samosa a while earlier so I wasn’t feeling in the need for a hot dog. Here’s a few of my favourite photos that I took today…

I love the colour of Maisie’s hair, especially when the sun is on it….

Cambridge April 1st 2007

This is Maisie and me on a bridge in one of the colleges, taken by Barry, it was so warm but a bit windy and annoying in the hair department!

I have quite an amusing story about a lamp to tell you about…maybe tomorrow….Jane Austen beckons on the television….

hasn’t it been just the most glorious day? I was at work for the day but I’m not complaining: it meant that I saw the gorgeous sunset whilst on the way home.

Sorry you were at work rosie but glad you saw the sunset…I was too tired to look out of the window! I did buy some more tea though! Mint choc chip and love potion which has strawberries and chillies in it. Maisie loves these fruit teas too so it’s really good to make apot of this delicious tea to share. You have a lot to answer for!!

What a beautiful day and I love your candid shots! I spent many weekends in Cambridge when I was younger and recently returned for a day with a friend! We had great fun watching the large groups of stag/hen parties trying to work their way down the river….VERY funny!Glad you had a nice day and lovely to ‘see’ you! :o)

Beautiful pictures. I love Maisie’s hair too…her color and texture are the same as mine! Granted, after I got sick, my hair grew back in an alien color and I started playing with color. Now I do a darker red…but tell Maisie that redheads are very special and mysterious. Makes us quite the catch when someone is smart enough! Thanks for all your notes on the blog…I do check to see if you have written! All the best to you and Barry…and Maisie!

Ilike the sun on Maisie’s hair too – and I also like your knitting – Your cardi looks lovely and is the bag sari silk?

Love Cambridge. I was lucky to have a job holiday there in 1998. Have been visiting there two more times.
