Ouch!

I have spun my finest yarn yet! This is some merino/soy/bamboo fibre spun to a laceweight.  I have got approx 500 yards from the 100 gram bump of fibre. I didn’t intend to spin this fine, it just sort of happened….no wonder my thumb is sore! Most people use a coin to show the fineness of their spun yarn, I just had to be different eh?

Barry is fine, thanks for the well wishes, he is recovering well although he is rather sore.  His recovery consists of flying aeroplanes to and from different airports from the comfort of the sofa.  He judders a bit on occasions!

Apparently I have been a very good nurse….these flowers arrived for me just now, oh boy, I love that man!

About picperfic

I dye luxurious fibre blends for spinners and felters, and sew beautiful bags, project bags and needle/hook organisers to a very high standard, using designer fabrics and then I photograph them!

Well, what method of scale comparison would be more appropriate than a lens cap — just perfect! Also perfect is your Barry — how often does the patient think to send flowers to the nurse — brilliant, and I’m sure, very well deserved!

That’s some seriously fine and gorgeous handspun! As to the flowers, what a stunning bouquet, just the sort I would love and get ‘lost’ in for hours, so many little treasures to find and see!I’m glad to hear Barry is feeling better!
