Flitwick

I am so looking forward to Sunday…a group of like minded people, ie., spinners, knitters and general fibre fanatics, are getting together for a day of cake eating, chatting, spinning, knitting and education. Think I’ve got my priorities right!

Above is a selection of batts and fibre that I have either dyed or prepared ready to sell. I will be closing my Etsy shop for the day too, Anything that doesn’t sell at Flitwick will be going into the shop on Monday when I reopen it.
Heather will be doing the driving for some reason, I have promised her first dibs into the fibre as her reward. I am so lucky to have such lovely friends.

Talking of which, I had such a lovely time on Wednesday at the new knitting group in the lovely Ely Wool Shop. We had homemade cakes and cookies and endless tea and coffee. I did my best to do some knitting but just to be out amongst people again was brilliant. If you look closely you can see Heather’s hand moving at the speed of light as she knits her sock! Heather and I then went off to have lunch in the darling little restaurant down by the Maltings, Peacocks, I love the style of that place!

Hope I manage to get to the knitting group next week, I have a hair appointment the same day so will be getting the bus at 9am, popping into the knitting shop far a while and then off to have my hair done.

Shame I won’t be able to make the shop opening on the 6th March, I’ll be going to the first spinning session of 2010 at Rampton. Did I tell you I can do spinning? I found that I can do a forward draw using my right hand which doesn’t put too much pressure on the poor wrist.

Every day I can feel I am getting more strength in the broken bone but by the end of the day it aches a lot…

Happy crafting!
